Arizona Basset Hound Rescue is a non-profit 501( c) 3 and ALL volunteer organization has saved over 1,300 hounds in 10 years with 600 of those hounds just in the past three years.

Arizona Basset Hound Rescue came to the aid of over 50 Basset Hounds that were located in a puppy mill in Pinal County, Arizona in 2009.  Arizona Basset Hound Rescue provided the Bassets with the much needed medical attention and love they so deserved. 

Medical needs such as vaccinations, micro chipping, spay and neuter, blood tests, valley fever treatment, heartworm treatment and dental extractions and cleaning to name a few.  Many of the Bassets were very fearful of humans so the foster homes worked hard at providing them with a safe and loving atmosphere to give them the confidence they needed to find their forever homes.  While there are only a few left looking for homes, including eight puppies born to a sweet and very timid Basset Hound named Phoebe, the rescue is confident all will be adopted in the new year.
