The cost to prepare a high level figure skater is approximately $75,000 per year, this includes skates, dresses, competition fees, travel, coaching fees and ice time. There is no real season for figure skating for just as the technical season ends the showcase season begins. Bella is an active member of ISI (International Skating Institute) where she will be testing for Free Style 10 in the spring of 2011. Free Style 10 is the highest level under the ISI system. There are currently less than 40 people in the entire world who have passed this very difficult test. Bella is also a member of the United States Figure Skating Association, (USFSA). This is the same organization responsible for sending athletes to the Olympics. Bella finished 6th overall in the 2011 Central Pacific Championships as a Junior and will compete at the Senior level moving forward. Bella is a wonderful person who loves to share her passion for the sport of Figure Skating with everyone she can. Bella recently participated in a fundraising show to help rebuild Iceland of Sacramento, which burned down in March 2010. You can purchase a bottle of wine if you would like to help Bella achieve her goals, and you will receive a bottle of your choice. To receive updates on all her competitions just leave your e-mail address. The next time you see here on TV or hear about her you can proudly say, “I helped Bella achieve here dreams”.
