Caring About the Strays, Inc. was founded by Jane DeMartino in response to the plight of the stray cat. Jane witnessed so much suffering and one by one spayed/neutered and adopted out a colony of cats in Boston in the 1990's. In 2006 we became established as a not for profit 501(c)(3) organization. C.A.T.S, Inc. rescues and adopts many cats, kittens, and some dogs. We also invite special needs visitors and volunteers to help with this work. They experience the healing magic of the animals and experience a renewed sense of accomplishment and self-esteem.
