Templeton, Massachusetts: Land became the Township of Narragansett #6 in 1733. On March 6, 1762, Narragansett #6 was incorporated as the Town of Templetown. Sometime after 1764, it became known as Templeton, comprised of the villages of Baldwinville, East Templeton, Otter River, and Templeton Center.
